Pico de Gallo

Cooked up by Lori on Jan 28, 2008

You’ve seen it, heard about it, but have you tried it?  I’m quite surprised on how many have NOT tried this so I thought I’d tell you how I make it.  This is great for tacos:)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 12 Tomatoes, seeded and coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 large yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 jalapeno chili peppers, finely chopped
  • 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. Salt

PREPARATION:

In a medium blowl, place all the ingredients and mix them together.  Makes 2 cups!

HA!!  You thought there was more to it huh?!

  2. WOW, and I always called it my homemade salsa…LOL! I make that quite often in the summer from fresh ingredients from the garden, usually moms garden. My kids can’t get enough of it and I like the thought of knowing that it’s something that’s freshly made!
