First, I just have to say WOW!  I mean, I was completely surprised at the participation in this contest.  I am extremely grateful for everyone that played a hand in the contest and would like to give a special thanks to the 2 places that sent a huge amount of traffic my way.

1. Online Sweepstakes (who I’ve never heard of but they were my BIGGEST boost in traffic)
2. Bloggy Giveaways

Of course, everytime someone stumbled my post, they gave me huge surges in traffic as well, so thank you to ALL of you who stumbled.   I also want to thank everyone for voting my blog the best food blog!  Voting goes on most of the year, so if you didn’t vote, please consider doing so if you think my blog is worthy!

There were so many people that entered but I was extremely surprised at how many of those entries DON’T have a blog!  I did notice that most of the people that came from the Online Sweepstakes website, didn’t have blog or if they did, they didn’t include their blog url.  That being said, I had 849 individual entries with about half receiving extra entries.  Luckily, I was very organized throughout this entire process and was copying every single entry into my notepad.  When a person earned extra entries, I copied their name that many times.  I then, imported all the entries into Random.org.  I randomized all the entries twice before the final time.  I did this because many entries were all together from the same person and I thought it was more fair to mix them all up before actually picking the winner.  Finally, I randomized the list one last time with the #1 person being the winner of the standmixer.   Who was the winner? 

THE WINNER IS MISTI (Bigblue____[at]aol[dot]com)!!!!!  I left out part of the email address for a reason.  I’m sure she doesn’t want to get bombarded with spam or whatever.  She doesn’t have a blog or if she does, she didn’t leave a url.  I have contacted her via email and have asked 2 things from her.

1. Contact info (mailing address)
2. Take a picture using your standmixer, send it to me to be placed here on the blog as a followup.

If for any reason, Misti doesn’t NOT claim her prize within a decent amount of time, she will forfeit her prize and I will redraw for a new winner.

Now for the monthly recipe submission winner.  I only had 4 entries:(  It really is very simple to enter this folks.  All you do is submit a recipe to me using the link right below my header and I will  enter your name/blog into the monthly paypal drawing of $10 bucks.  If you have a blog, I will also link back to your site giving you full credit for the recipe.  The winner of teh $10 bucks is Aidan of Daydreamz.net with the recipe of Fresh Cranberry Sauce!!

Okay, I guess that’s it!  The big standmixer finale is over:(  I had so much, found some great new blogs through the entries, and enjoyed reading everyone’s comments!
