Drunken Crockpot Roast

Cooked up by Lori on Mar 13, 2008

Nothin’ like a good ol pot roast!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 (5-6 pound) chuck roast
  • 2 (10 3/4) cans of french onion soup
  • 1 1/2 12-ounce cans of beer
  • 1 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes

DIRECTIONS:

Cook roast in 400′ oven for one hour.  Move roast to large crockpot.  Add remaining ingredients.  Stir, and cook on high 4-5 hours, or until tender.  Or cook on low overnight.

Yep, it’s simple and good!

  1. I haven’t made a pot roast in a long time. Maybe I’ll whip this up and see what the clan thinks.

  2. I do one similar, but start in the crockpot and go for 8-9 hours.

  3. This sounds delicious; for some reason I originally read the ingredients as 11 1/2 12 ounce cans of beer, now that would be a Plastered Crockpot Roast!

  4. This doesn’t have a picture. If it did I would be drooling on the cat in my lap.
