Pea Salad
Believe it or not, I’m not a big fan of peas and I can’t stand mayonnaise but I LOVE pea salad! Weird considering 2 of the main ingredients are peas and mayonnaise. Sometimes salads that contain lettuce and tomato get boring which makes this great for a change. It’s cold and delish!
Super easy to make and you can add your stuff like onions if that’s your cup of tea;)
INGREDIENTS:
- Peas
- Eggs (hard boiled)
- Mayonnaise
- Salt & Pepper
PREPARATION:
First, you need to get your eggs boiled. You want hard boiled eggs for this recipe;) Do you always have the problem of the egg shell sticking to the egg??? A good rule of thumb is to stick your eggs in the water, when it starts to boil, take them out after 15minutes. Then cool and peel:) Okay, so now that they’re boiled, dice them up and set aside. Open your peas, drain, and put into serving bowl. Add eggs and mayonnaise. I would start with about 2 or 3 eggs per can of peas and start with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and add to taste. Season with salt & pepper.

I’ve never had this before, but it sounds good. Wonder if it would be good with a little Hidden Valley Ranch dry original mixed into it.
Either way, I need to try it because I love peas, mayonnaise and hard boiled eggs… can’t see how I WOULDN’T love this recipe.
Actually, it is good like that! We’ve done;)
just like grandma used to make sometimes she would add tuna fish or chopped fine onions. I loved this salad
Looks yummy! I love having extra boiled egg recipes! I will have to try this!

When I’ve seen this, it’s always been made with FROZEN peas. Glad to know you can use canned with good results! TFS the recipe.

My grandpa used to make this all the time. Until he got sick of course, now my husband makes it. We’ve always had pickles and cheese in ours.
Never thought of putting egg in it. I’m going to have to try that out.

Make and chill over night to enjoy cold from the frige on the 4th of July! It is easy to make larger servings by doubling over and over!
ooops I left out the best part… Miracle WHIP not mayo!
hey throw some mustard in it and it will be better
I WAS ALMOST POSITIVE THAT IT HAD MACARONI IN IT, SO I MADE SOME WITH, MACARONI, EGG, CHEESE, OF COURSE PEAS, AND MIRACLE WHIP AND LET ME TELL YA, IT WAS GREAT!!! HOPE SOMEONE ELSE LIKES MY VARIATION! I DIDN’T LOOK IT UP UNTIL AFTER I HAD ALREADY MADE IT. MY FAMILY LOVED IT!
I use Miracle Whip and add a couple of teaspoons of sugar, let it sit so it dissolves. Then add to frozen peas. If I have some onions or bacon to chop up and add, I’ll put that in too. My mom adds some pickle relish. You really can’t go wrong making this a delicious cold salad!
