Create Your Own Cookbook with TasteBook OVER
READ THE ENTIRE POST:)
How cool would it be to create a cookbook with all your family recipes or maybe you and a bunch of friends can get together and add all your personal favorites to become one cool cookbook?!! Well TasteBook gives you the opportunity to do just that. Not only can you create your own cookbook, you can also sell it.
The TasteBook website is super easy to use and you don’t have to complete the entire cookbook in one sitting. You can actually add recipes and save, logout, and log back in to continue. Speaking of recipes. You can add your own and/or add their available recipes. You’ll be able to add photos, servings, notes, and more! It’s very cool. You also can buy your book incomplete and add pages to it later. This is very neat because it may take you a long time to fill up a cookbook. This way, you can add some, order it, and when you’re ready to add a new recipe, just add it and get it sent to you.
This applies to any cookbook you buy from TasteBook that isn’t filled already like mine. I haven’t filled mine up yet but if you purchase it now, you’ll receive credits to add more pages to fill it up. You can use those credits at any time.
If you’re a blogger, you can also add this nifty little widget and hopefully earn a few sales;)
Alright, now for a surprise! One winner will get to create their own cookbook from TasteBook!!! WOOHOO:)
Just a leave a comment telling me what sort of recipes would inspire your cookbook. Easy as pie folks:) Got the banner up? Lemme know in the comments!
This contest ends on July 31st. Good luck
Hmmm, interesting!
Personally I’m inspired by recipes that are a twist on the standard fare-so something that is a bit familiar, but with a tasty sounding variation.

Your website is very unique! Recipes that inspire me are ones that have a lot of history behind them! Ones that have been in the family a long time! Tried and true ones! Ones that you love and everyone wants for their own! Great website!
For me it would be to compile my favorites with some long time family recipes, like my grandma’s cooking!
I love this idea. I would put my appetizer and dinner recipes in the book with lots of step by step photos. I won’t buy a cookbook without lots of photos!
[...] Where: My Wooden Spoon [...]
I would do Mexican and/or southwestern foods. They are my favorite!
I love to bake, so my cookbook would be a collection of my favorite cookies, bars, cakes, and desserts.
I love recipes that involve good, simple, nourishing food. Nothing fancy, just tried and true family friendly food. Thanks for the great giveaway.

I would put together a cookbook full of items I would make for my family - too often I only use a handful of recipes from any given cookbook…so I would pick dishes that are satisfying, easy, and perhaps some that we could eat again for lunch the next day!
Shawnas last blog post..Hot Crash Potatoes
My ideal cookbook would have dinners in 30 minutes or less, but with wholesome ingredients, as well as easy to find ingredients - nothing too exotic.
I’d include recipes from regular players of Four Foods On Friday.
(Hey, if the folks at TasteBook would like to sponsor a giveaway for me that’d be a neat idea, I could review it and then do a giveaway for anyone playing FFOF.)
valmgs last blog post..Creamy Tomato Soup
I almost forgot, I still have the banner up on two sites, FunCraftsAndRecipes.com and AContestBlog.com
This is a really cool, but expensive, way to create a cookbook. If you only want a cookbook for yourself or a few for your friends and family, it’s the way to go. If you want to create a cookbook and sell it at arts and crafts fairs and food festivals, as well as having a unique gift to give to friends and family, you can print a cookbook through a specialty-cookbook printer. The price is way more reasonable. I have a list of cookbook printers at http://www.recipeforacookbook.com.
Hot and spicy dishes. The hotter and spicier the better.
I have 4 young kids. So for me they have to be fairly simple and not too exotic. I love my crockpot.
I have your banner up, too!
Jaimes last blog post..Happy Birthday Mom!
I would definitely love to have a recipe book with our family recipes, baked goods and of course our delicious Polynesian meals. It would be a wonderful keepsake for our family. My parents owned a bakery in the 80’s and unfortunately had to end it because of a traumatic event in the family. I have dreamed of re-opening the bakery using exactly the same recipes and adding a few more. It would be so cool to have a book with all of their recipes and Polynesian recipes published in it.
Thank You~

We grow a large vegetable garden and have fruit trees. In an effort to use what we have in the season it comes, I have been collecting recipes and dividing them into season categories for easy reference- I would LOVE to make them into a cookbook. How cool! Thanks!!
I’ve been thinking of making a Greek cookbook as a companion to my website, so this is very welcome info. Thanks!
I’ve always thought about making a recipe book full of my families favorites…along with family photos…memories…history…a bit of family tree. I thought it would be a great way to pass down family legacies. Recipes from my Grandmother who grew up in Tennessee, photos, and antecdotes about who she was…recipes from my other Grandmother who also loved to sew and crochet…along with patterns and tutorials for future generations. Perhaps one day I will be able to make this idea a reality.

I would definately fill this book up with family faves. There are so many recipes written on slips of paper and such in my collection, this book would be the perfect solution.
Wouldn’t it be fun to gather all your favorite childhood foods into a comfort food cookbook?
I would compile our family recipes and create a cookbook. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for awhile but the task seems so overwhelming.
gkstratos@ yahoo.com
Definitely Southwestern, with a healthy heart twist.
Recipies that take less than 30 minutes to prepare, cook and mostly, don’t need a side dish! Casseroles, Sautees’, Quiches’, ect.
For my cookbook, I would like to have those simple recipes that you can’t find in hardly any cookbook. For example, recipes like breakfast gravy, cornbread hoecakes, homemade maple syrup, potato cakes, etc. You know, those “old time country” recipes that your great great grandmother “knew by heart” and didn’t need a recipe for….

Comfort foods with a healthy/unique twist.
We all have our “Good for the soul” comfort food, so why not take a stab at making it good for the soul and rump in one fell swoop?
Sort like Cooking light Betty Crocker style with a dash of Emeril/Rachael/and Martha Stewart twists or “try this instead” ingredient add/swap out at the bottom.
It’s always fun to play with your food!
Easy family recipes is what I look for.
We entertain a lot, and I would include a ton of the recipes I use regularly for entertaining and large family dinners.
I’m all about the desserts. Serious. I love to bake, so it would be a dessert cookbook.
Quick and Easy recipes. The quicker and easier the better!
Hi, Fantastic giveaway! My husband would love this prize. We would most likely use recipes from his grandma, mom, my mom, aunt, etc. It would be a family recipe book. Please enter me in your drawing. Many thanks, Cindi
Home recipes passed on from my mother and grandmother
My cookbook would be inspired by family favourite recipes. I have always wanted to assemble some of my kids’ favourite recipes into a book to give them when they are ready to leave home and begin cooking on their own.
My cookbook would contain all of my family recipes, especially ones my grandmother made and my mom learned by just watching her make them. I’m in the process of having my mom write the recipes down for me, so they’re not lost forever. Those recipes would definitely go in my TasteBook!
i LOVE this idea, I would put in some of my mom’s recipes and give it as a gift to her
I would put in “Family Favorites”. In my family this would be a wide range of dishes. From appetizers to desserts.
I like recipes for meals that look real fancy and intricate but are real easy.
I have a ton of “ripped out of magazine” or “printed off the internet” recipes that I would love to put in something other then an ugly green binder.
My cookbook would be filled with family favorite recipes. I think it is a wonderful legacy to pass down to my children. And I have a banner on my blog for your site.

My cookbook would be inspired by my domestic diva mum. It would be packed with favorites she’s made since I was a child. I have her recipes noted down on various food-stained scraps of paper, and all floating around in a shoebox. This book would be a marvellous incentive to put all the recipes together into my own book!

If I created a cookbook, I would add all my favorite family recipes and give a copy to my relatives for Christmas. I would also add some tried and true recipes too.
Oh, mine would be rather eclectic, I imagine. I would classify it as home cooking, all those dishes I grew up eating, and even now can’t get enough of. But really, I suppose it would be more Southern and Tex-Mex - that’s what most of our recipes are…

It is funny because I was just thinking about doing something like this today. I have many recipes that I am often asked to share. I would love to put them all together in one place and give them as gifts to my friends.
We’d definately do a cookbook of my families recipes and my hubby’s side, so it’d be one huge compilation of both sides!
I am trying and tweaking recipes all the time. If I were to do a cookbook, it would be comprised mostly of main course meals and desserts. It would include my family’s recipes handed down from generation to generation as well as friends-across-the-way entries.

I would love to make a cookbook of my mother’s recipes-down home cooking at its best.
I would fill it up with the recipes I have saved for years: favorite recipes and main dishes, and a few odds and ends.
Mine would have an assortment of family favorites, starting with basic meal recipes but would include alot of desserts and cakes.
My mother’s recipes would fill this book , as well as a collection of our family favorites. I’d use this as an opp to create a family heirloom!
I would definetly fill a cookbook with all the recipes I have saved on my computer. I actually have a cookbook that I use quite often that is literally falling apart and is rubberbanded together. It has some of my favorite recipes so I would definetly add those to my cookbook. I am always on the lookout for recipes that either don’t use onion or can use an onion powder instead of actual onions because my DH hates onions (I LOVE them!) so I would probably try to have some of those recipes too.
I would probably collect healthy recipes that taste good.

My cookbook would be filled with lite and healthy recipes, that taste wonderful. I have them laying all over the place right now. I need some place to store them. This looks wonderful!

Suzanne Bs last blog post..Pinata Pinafore GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!
Desserts would be a must, as well as casseroles and quick and easy dinners.
casseroles
I’d like to make a family cookbook - so it’s not really the type of recipe, but whatever favorites my cousins grew up with, or my aunts famous salmon sauce, etc. Would be fun!! And a great xmas gift. (although if I was doing my own, I’d make a vegetarian book from appetizers/soups, snacks, main meals to desserts)
good old homestyle foods!
Oh, I’ve been wanting to make a cookbook for years! It would be all kinds of stuff — mostly recipes I tried and really liked, variations on things my mother and grandmothers taught me to make, how to put together a nice spread for a party — kind of Ina Garten meets Martha Stewart meets The Ramones. I am inspired by all food that tastes good and looks pretty on the plate.

My cookbook would be full of seafood recipes
My cookbook would contain our families best recipes which would be mostly the ones my mom use to make. She was a fantastic cook! And I’m sorry to say that no diet recipes are allowed in my perfect cookbook.
It would be so much fun to make one of our favorite recipes and the family favorite recipes of our daughter-in-laws family. They are always calling to get a favorite recipe and it would be a cool gift for them!

MY COOKBOOK WOULD CONTAIN MOSTLY GRILLING RECIPES. WE LIVE IN THE DESERT, SO THERE’S REALLY NOT A BAD TIME TO GRILL!
I’ve heard of this before. It sounds really cool. I’d like family friendly, quick and easy recipes. We love pasta and chicken, but some fish for my husband and son would be good too.

Recipes that are totally vegan and organic! Lots of people don’t know how to make stuff like that tasty!
I would include all of my special holiday recipes, especially the cokie recipes that were from my great grandmother.
Easy recipes, family recipes, all recipes inspire me. I would love to create a cookbook that pulls all the recipes I’ve collected over the years into one place - with notes.

I would put my collection of ethnic foods in the cookbook, such as Korean, Indian, German, etc.
It would be inspired by my Polish grandmother (Babchi) with recipes that could be made with children.
I just recently discovered TasteBook. I actually am thinking about making cookbooks for a few family members for Christmas. I would use a combination of family favorites, ones that have been passed down from my grandmother & mom, and new ones that we have tried out & love.
For me it would be classic comfort foods. They are the ones that I find myself looking at and making first. I figure that since I know the taste that I can’t really mess them up all that badly!

I am currently working on a TasteBook for my family. My grandmother passed away in June and my “Big Daddy” passed away five before her. We thought it would be a great idea to collect all of their recipes and put them together. It is really coming along great. We’ve got pictures of the family (there’s a bunch of us!) on the pages. This is a great giveaway!
Mirandas last blog post..TWD: Chocolate Pudding
I would love to put together a book of “favorite family recipes” - which is mostly baked stuff, but there are a couple of velveeta/green olive casseroles from the 70’s on the list also….
5 ingredient easy recipes
I prefer the basics. Nothing too fancy or exotic.
My cookbook would be filled with family favorites-comfort food, not necessary beautiful but filling and fragrant.
Since both of my parents have passed away, I would fill mine with recipes that remind me of my lifetime with them. They were both wonderful cooks, and each had their own specialties. Boy…did my Dad make a great apple pie, and my Mom a wonderful apple cake and lasagna. Lovely recipes with memories of very special family dinners when we were all together.
I think it depends what time of year it is - In the spring/summer light dishes with fresh veggies are inspiring, in the fall hearty stews and during the holidays appetizers. I must admit that I love desserts year round

I am such a cookbook addict! Quick Easy and healthy dinners would be great
crab and shrimp
I would make my TasteBook all about the recipes I intend to pass on to a young co-worker who is leaving for college this fall. She doesn’t want to fall into the trap of fast food and convenience eating and I’m bound and determined to help her along in her quest for nutritious, tasty, and make-ahead meals.
This would definitely help in my endeavours, lol, but I’ll be making a cookbook for her regardless, because she’s special enough to deserve it.
I love to find recipes that are semi-homemade; also the ones that have been handed down from generations, like churches cookbooks. Thanks for the opportunity
I’m from the South, and my husband’s from the Midwest, so I bounce between cuisines. Homey, comfort food speaks to both of us. I’m trying to make it healthier, but that is still a challenge. (I know, the basic food groups aren’t really supposed to be sugar, salt, fat and caffiene.)
I am a “road warrior”. My cookbook is going to include the meals that I have prepared in hotel rooms.
I would create a TasteBook around all the recipes that have been handed down to me over the years for safe keeping.
I have books and computer flash drives full of recipes. I’d love to have them in one place.
My cookbook would probably include a lot of recipes which involve fresh seafood (clams, crabs, scallops, fish, etc), as well as fresh vegetables so I can collect new ways of using the things I grow in my garden. Thanks for the chance!
Would love good tasting recipes, low calorie so I can continue to lose weight. Please enter me, thank you
oh wow, I have a file folder full of family recipes (say that 3 times fast!) that I would love to get into a cookbook for my extended family. What a great contest idea!
