Kitchenaid Stand Mixer, Products, and Giveaway

The Kitchenaid Stand Mixer is my most favorite small appliance in my kitchen.  It’s been with me a long time and just recently got me through 6 batches of fried pie dough…all within minutes!  Anyone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen needs one.

While the stand mixer seems to be what Kitchenaid is known for, they have so much more that is drool worthy and that’s where you come in.

  30. Blueberry Coffee Cake

2 cups all-purpose flour (Plus 1 tablespoon to toss with blueberries)
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup butter, softened
    1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
    3 large eggs
    1 cup milk
½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries, divided (if using frozen do not defrost)
    Topping
½ cup blueberries fresh or frozen
    1/4 cup white sugar
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt.

In work bowl of mixer, cream together butter, white sugar and light brown sugar on medium-high until fluffy, about 2 minutes. While mixer is running, add eggs one a time. When well combined, alternate adding flour mixture and milk. Mix until just incorporated; do not over mix. Stir briefly by hand to finish.
Toss 1/2 c frozen blueberries with 1 t flour, then fold them into the batter.

Grease and flour a 9×13×2″ baking pan. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 c frozen blueberries evenly over the top of the cake batter. Stir cinnamon into sugar and sprinkle over the top.

Place pan in a preheated 350°F oven on the middle rack for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan 20 minutes, then turn entire cake out onto a rack, then invert onto a cutting board or serving platter.

  37. The KitchenAid KHB100OB Hand Blender would be another very useful tool for me. Anything to make life easier for me as my son, a single father and his 2 year old twins moved in with us due to the hard economic times. So now “Nana” is back a-cookin’ up a storm in the kitchen again for everyone. Would REALLY love to win the stand mixer!!

  38. I would enjoy having the cute kitchen aid hand mixer/blender .
I love your blog by the way .

  39. How do you find out who won??????????

  40. I have been coveting a kitchenaid stand mixer for a long time. I finally decided to act on it. I like the yellow and green ones best, and I like the pro 600 the most. But I would be happy to win an artisan or better in any color. I just have a red immersion blender . . . I swore I would not replace my old mixer–my 6th hand mixer in 30 years of marriage–until I replaced it with what I really want and what will last.

  41. love to win this

  42. I really need a Kitchenaid mixer. I have Christmas cookie recipes passed down through several generations. I know that in the old country all this was done by hand. But I’m a whimp. Beating eggs for 15mins by hand sure wears a girl out :) This year I invited my best friend and her new kitchenaid mixer. The cookies turned out even better (and really, that is pretty darn near impossible)!

  43. I subscribed via email

  44. I would choose the KitchenAid KFP740CR 9-Cup Food Processor with 4-Cup Mini Bowl, Chrome, don’t have too much space for anything else, besides the mixer of course!
