My name is Lori, also known as A Cowboy’s Wife. I’m 32, happily married to a real cowboy for 16+yrs. I’ve got 3 VERY handsome boys; 2 1/2-13-15yrs.
After teaching myself the ropes of the “world wild web,” I now use my sites to reach out to women in various forms. My personal blog, A Cowboys’ Wife, chronicles my reflections about ranch life, kids, health & fitness, and photography. My pride and joy is my food blog, My Wooden Spoon where I was recently hired by Kraft to create an original recipe using Velveeta. I won 1st place and was seen in the May issue of Taste of Home. (also mentioned in the Waco-Herald Tribune) I am one of Walmart’s Eleven Moms and part of many social networks.
Although I’ve only been blogging since Feb. 07’, I have developed a readership that trusts me. They believe in me and know that I will do my best to help them achieve their goals on and offline. I take pride in that relationship with them.
THE GOOD STUFF!!
My passions include my family, photography (currently own a Nikon D70s), traveling and of course cooking. My family always comes first and I enjoy every minute I can with them. We are a ranch family taking care of cattle, horses, one goat, and several dogs & cats.
Meet my husband Noe (Rooster), sons Toby (13), Truett (2 1/2), and Tyler (15).
My husband builds bits and spurs in his spare time, Toby just loves being a kid and playing games, Truett is a 2yr old cowboy who goes around pretending to ride bulls, and Tyler is our hardworking teen who is already establishing a respectable name in the horse business by riding other people’s horses and dayworking!
We love to do fun and adventurous things and just spend time with each other…..no joke.
I’ve cooked for ranches for over 10yrs for 15-50 cowboys at a time. I’ve been in several chuckwagon cook-offs and even won a couple. I love food in general which is how this food blog came about….an outlet for my passion for cooking.
