Nobody’s going to want me to contribute after this post but seriously, give brussels sprouts a try! These 
veggies get such a bad rap, I feel sorry for them. Did you know that they were first planted by Thomas Jefferson? Do you know that you probably don’t like this vegetable because it has been ruined by overcooking?
To cook brussels sprouts, cut the end off the sprouts and remove the outer loose outer leaves. Make a little (I said LITTLE) cross in the end so that the sprouts can cook more evenly. Steam them for 5 to 10 minutes until just tender. So don’t go forgetting about them in the pot while you get busy doing something! Put them into a heated serving dish and pat with butter or my favorite is extra virgin olive oil. I like to add real lemon juice and salt to these green veggies and if I’m feeling really frisky…I roll them in egg and bread or cracker crumbs and sauté them!

You know my mother never made them, and thus I have never made them. But you make sprouts sound so good I have to give them a try. Plus I loved steamed veggies!
My mom always bought frozen baby Brussel spouts. I love them with a little butter.
