Cinnabon’s for the Bread Machine

I’m updating this recipe with new photos, however, I am keeping the old ones at the bottom because these photos were the last time my dad made cinnamon rolls with my mom. In fact, it’s hand that is pouring the icing and I just can’t delete them.  With that said, these are THE best cinnamon rolls ever.  These are a copycat of Cinnabon’s and man, they are delicious!

Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls using Bread Machine

Anything that tastes heavenly requires a little bit of work but don’t let the recipe intimidate you. It’s really very easy to make, you just get a few bowls dirty!  Thank heavens for dishwashers! Am I right?!  Hope y’all enjoy!  Oh, and this is for a 2lb bread machine!

Ingredients
DOUGH
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 Tbsp. Melted butter
  • 4 Tbsp. water
  • ½ box instant vanilla pudding (3.4 oz box)
  • 4 cups Bread flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 2 ½ tsp. Bread machine yeast
FILLING
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts, opt.
FROSTING
  • 4 oz. Cream cheese, room temp. (With walnuts if using)
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 ½ tsp. Milk
  • 3 Tbsp. real Maple Syrup
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in your machine in order recommended by your machine’s manufacturer. Place the pan in your machine. Select the dough cycle and press start.
  2. When cycle is finished, remove the dough, knead enough to punch down and roll to 17x10.
  3. Combine first 3 filling ingredients and mix well. Heat in microwave 10 seconds to make spreadable.
  4. Spread over rolled out dough with rubber spatula. Get as close to the edges as possible.
  5. If using nuts, sprinkle over dough.
  6. Starting with widest end, roll the dough into a tight log.
  7. Cut into ½ to 1” slices. Place in a lightly greased baking dish with sides.
  8. Place in a warm draft free place and allow them to rise until double. (I turn my oven on warm and place them inside. When the temp light goes off, turn off the oven. Let them rise 20-30 minutes this way. Take out to heat oven to baking temp)
  9. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. When the rolls are done top with frosting. I let mine cool for about 5 minutes before frosting.

Yum, they didn’t last 24 hrs …If I didn’t have a ton of baking to do today I would make another batch…Definetly have the Cinnabon ring to them. Hubby says much better though (as he chowed down 4 last night) lol…

    Thanks Mom! :P
