Honey, Hot Sauce, and Corn Flakes Entries

When I start something like the recent Food Challenge, I’m always nervous about having no entries so you can imaginefoodchallengeparticipants250 my surprise when I saw a total of 18 entries into January’s food challenge.  On top of that, I had several nonbloggers which felt great because it tells me that people really do read my blog (besides bloggers of course).

Below are the 17 entries.  8 of them are nonbloggers so I posted their recipe and photo here on my blog.  The 9 blogger’s recipes can be seen by clicking on over to them.  Please take the time to visit each one and comment on their outstanding recipes!

ALSO, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IN THE COMMENTS BELOW WHICH ONES ARE YOUR FAVORITE! And stay tuned for the announcement of the final 3 so that you can vote for the grand prize winner who will win a $50 Gift Card to Cooking.com!

Mary’s Fiery Chocolate Pie looks very much what I had in mind . . . but was too lazy to work on. ;)

  3. Angie says:

  4. Correction on #2 It is Spicy Chicken with Honey Mustard sauce. Of course I am partial to this one and can vouch for how great it was!

  5. Merry Graham says:

The It’s a Honey: Onion, Pear, Galette makes my mouth water!

  6. Penelope Wolfe says:

    #14 (Merry’s) looks great!!! A real winner!

  7. I am excited about the cornflake/coconut shrimp w/ mango dipping sauce. The Outback rest. sells something similar and I love it!

  8. Sare says:

I thought the pork chops with the honey mustard glaze was really good. Of course I’m a tad prejudice since my grandsom made it. ANd the shrimp and coconut sounded delicious.

  9. Brandy says:

I think #5 is my favorite.

  10. I have to admit, I think my own recipe is my favorite, lol… The Cornflake Coconut Shrimp with Sweet and Spicy mango dipping sauce, YUMMY! BUT! I think that Lisa’s crab cakes sound pretty tasty, and am looking forward to trying it out! Merry’s galette as well, interesting combointations, could make for a tasty treat! =) This contest has been a lot of fun, and so happy I finally started my blog! Thanks for the nice comments everyone!

  11. Merry says:

Yes, Katherine your recipe caught my eye and tummy! Maybe your Coconut Shrimp and my Bacon Pear Galette will have to fight for the title (teehee). HECK, let’s just eat them both! Good for you for starting your blog….I’m about 1 inch for starting one myself. Contests like these make me want to have a blog.

  12. Trisha says:

    #2 spicy chicken sounds good!

  13. Julie says:

#2 sounds really good, I may have to try it and see how my girls like it. We aren’t hot sauce fans but I like that just a little can add flavor w/o salt. Great tip!!

  14. Merry Graham says:

On my email it said poll is at the bottom. When I clicked the red x at the bottom it didn’t link to a poll. I had a computer whiz check it all out including the properties on the email and then on the blog. He couldn’t find the link either (I didn’t feel so dumb for not finding it then.) Can you email me a direct link to the poll?
