Just the word Kitchenaid gives me a happy feeling but even more so when I see them doing kind & charitable things for people and partnering with Cook for the Cure. Since I’ve had two family members
both dealing with Breast Cancer, then it’s very important for me to participate and spread the word.
From July 16, 2010 to July 18, 2010, cooks across America will be Cooking for the Cure and you can join in to help the cause! It’s very simple and goes like this:
- Register to host a Cook for the Cure party, cookout, office party, or community dinner.
- Download the donation forms.
- Instead of asking guests to bring a dish, ask them to bring a donation to help fight Breast Cancer.
- Submit your donations before September 10, 2010 to be eligible for the plate or whenever just to support the cause!
If you raise $50 or more, you will be sent a Pass the Plate serving dish. Use this serving dish and pass it on. Tell the person you are passing it on to, about the cause and how it works. Every time the plate is passed and logged at the website, Kitchenaid makes a $5 donation to the cause. Pretty freakin’ awesome!
And maybe you’re not into hosting parties and such….well consider doing this. Create a meal for your family, call that your hosted party, and make the donation yourself! You’re feeding the family of course but still supporting the cause!
What I plan to do is purchase one of Kitchenaid‘s Pink kitchen products that supports the Susan G Komen cause and out of all the people who come and donate, I’ll draw a winner at my party to receive the Kitchenaid item! It’s a win-win situation! Some of the pink Cook for the Cure Kitchenaid products include:
So will you Cook for the Cure?!? I sure hope so! I’m headed to register now and will write about my party here! If you host a party too, send me a photo and I’ll share it here with everyone! I’d love to see and hear about how your party went and donations earned, no matter how big or small the amount is…IT ALL HELPS! You can see some other party photos over at Facebook!
To Celebrate the moment and the movement, I’m giving away a a KitchenAid 12 Cup Food Processor FIRE RED! WOOHOO!
HOW TO ENTER:

Additional entry methods, each optional and must be left in separate comment to count.

This giveaway ends on July 5th. Good luck to all. In full disclosure, I was given the Food Processor to giveaway by Kitchenaid. It does not influence my opinion in any way. I LOVE Kitchenaid.

I would love to have a KitchenAid food processor.
This cause means a lot to me because of the people in my life who have been affected by this disease.
I support groups that support and protect kids.
I would love to own a Kitchenaid food processor or hand mixer.
I truly believe in the cause. Almost everyone I know has been touched by this disease in one way or another. I have seen people suffer and the suffering needs to stop. More research means getting closer to a cure and I’m all for that.

This cause means alot to me because my sister died of cancer
other causes i support is autism because i have a son on the severe autism spectrum
I love the Kitchenaid pizza cutter .
My cousin, who is the same age as me, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy. We are only in our early 40′s. It has been a real wake-up call for our family. She is the strongest person I know and I think I have shed more tears than she has since the diagnosis. I pray for the day when cancer is obsolete. Thanks!

I support the cause and I love my Kitchenaid blender.
I like it has to do with food which is uplifting. I like Child’s Play charity myself
I also support environmental and wildlife causes
I think this is a very noble cause. I lost a close Aunt to breast cancer a few years ago. Hope they find a cure soon.

I support a lot of causes: women’s, children’s, animals, self-injury, vitiligo, etc…
I’ve had cancer, so I certainly support a cure for that. I would love a Kitchenaid blender and I could use the food processor, too. Thanks for having the contest!
I love my KitchenAid KHB100 – Immersion Blender!
I wish I owned the KitchenAid 4 1/2 Quart Ultra Power Stand Mixer.
I really wish I owned the KitchenAid wand blender for sauces & smoothies. I’ve gone through more of those things made by inferior brands than I care to think about.
This is a great cause & a creative way to raise money & awareness for it!
