The Kitchenaid Stand Mixer is my most favorite small appliance in my kitchen. It’s been with me a long time and just recently got me through 6 batches of fried pie dough…all within minutes! Anyone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen needs one.
While the stand mixer seems to be what Kitchenaid is known for, they have so much more that is drool worthy and that’s where you come in.

THE PRIZE
A beautiful, strong mixer.

This recipe is one that I love! It comes from one of my favorite cookbooks: Our Yoder Heirloom Recipe Collection (an Amish cookbook) and it uses a hand mixer (but it would be SO much easier if I had a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer to mix it in!). Enjoy!
Pumpkin Cake (or Muffins, if you prefer)
1 yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup oil
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 20 oz. can pumpkin
Cream Cheese Frosting
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease or spray a 9×13 inch cake pan. Mix all ingredients together (except for frosting ingredients). Pour into pan. Bake for 30-45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool.
For frosting, combine all ingredients and blend well on high speed. Frost cake gently (frosting will be very thick). Cut cake and enjoy!
the knife block set would be a nice addition to my house
The easiest cake recipe ever! This recipe is one that I always use because it easy, and lower in calories. I love simple recipes. I do not take credit for creating this recipe, only for loving it!
1 box cake mix, any flavor
1 12 oz can diet pop, any flavor
Mix the cake mix and diet pop with your mixer (I would be so excited if I could say in my KitchenAid!) Grease and flour a standard 9×13 cake pan. Pour batter into pan. Cook according to temperature and time directions on the box. You can also make these a cupcakes, but I have always had a hard time getting them out of the pan without them breaking apart.
My favorite combination is a Devil’s food cake with diet cherry cola.
You can do almost any combination, such as classic white with diet orange pop or cherry lemon lime. The combination’s are endless! =
I really need a Kitchen Aide 2 slice toaster. Of COURSE, to win that mixer would be a dream come true.
