Lori’s Quick Rolls

Sometimes I’m running behind in the kitchen and don’t have the time to make sourdough rolls, etc but I have this faithful recipe that, with and hour and half, I can have fresh homemade rolls for my crew.  I just made these for the ranch crew here and they seemed to be a hit!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pkg. RapidRise Yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • Salt
  • 3 c. flour

DIRECTIONS:

Dissolve 1 package yeast in 1 cup of warm water.  Add to sugar, oil, salt, and flour.  Mix and knead well.  Let rise in warm place for 1 1/2 hours.  Roll out 12 rolls and place in a greased pan for 12 to 15 minutes at 400′.  Quick, super easy and SOOOOO good!  I chose to use a muffin pan but you can use a regular casserole dish.

  2. These look and sound great! The only roll recipe I have involves a lot of rising and punching down and time. So needless to say I do not make them often, usually just the holidays.

Those really look delicious–and so simple! Great recipe–thanks!

These do look simple. I too have a complicated roll recipe that I don’t often make. I’ll have to try this. I’m not much on rolls myself but my husband is a dinner roll fanatic, like he needs more flour and butter.

  5. OMG! I made these today – except instead of rolls, I made it a loaf of bread. Oh, and I forgot to use the oil LOL And it still was ABSOLUTELY fabulous. Thank you for sharing!

These rolls are fantastic! I made 12 and immediately made another 12 for our Christmas Dinner tomorrow. I’m hoping 22 will be enough (2 were eaten right out of the oven!).
