Mario Batali Can Cook Me Hold My Lunch Anytime!

Update: Giveaway is over.

Have you seen the Mario Batali Lunchbags line? OMG, they are THE most stylish, functional lunch bags ever! I recently received the Mario Batali Lunch Bag (The Crew Tote) in this expresso color and I absolutely LOVE IT!!!!  Not only is it THE most stylish lunch bag I’ve had, it’s also the most functional one. Some quick features about this one that you’re gonna love.

  • * Two compartments – insulated and non insulated
  • * Insulated lining has an insulated lining and keeps food and drinks warm or cool.
  • * Easy to wipe lining
  • * Back sleeve slides over rolling luggage handle for easy travel
  • * Top compartment is non-insulated and secures all carry on items

So I tested this out first when I sent my little man to his wello’s house for a stay.  I was able to pack his pajamas, diapers, baby wipes, toys in the top compartment and his milk, bananas, jello, and other snacks in the bottom insulated part.  It was AWESOME!  I looked cool to…..heehee.

Everyone is trying to save money, become more healthy and more eco-friendly these days & these lunch bags are a simple way to help you go forward on that path.  You can not only save yourself the dough from eating non-stop at fastfood but you can also give yourself more healthier options by choosing healthy foods from your grocery store and packing those in our lunch bag.  And how is eco-friendly?  Well heeeellllloooo, you are reusing your bag of course and you are bringing your own food in hopefully reuseable storage containers.

I give these bags 2 thumbs….4 if I had the extra ones and I think you will love them too.  So with all that said, I’ve got a nice surprise for you! Today, I’ve got a chance for 3 winners today to receive a Mario Batali Lunch bag but the 1st place winner will also get more goodies!  Here’s how it will go down:

My lunches are formed around arugula purhcased at the Saturday farmers’ market! So, cottage cheese, black olives, red onion, pecans, fava beans and my secret “To Die For” balsamic dressing (on the side) are favorite additions.

But, my best addition is a photocopy of whatever delicious recipe from Mr. Batali’s fine books is going to be served that evening.

That way I study it over lunch, and pick up any needed items not in the pantry on the way home. (And, I might add, wet my lunch companions appetites for Mr. Batali’s cuisine.)

  2. Marcy Strahan says:

A Grilled hamburger patty or Chicken breast, mushed avocodo’s mixed with just alittle mayo & Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb, a lite salad with roast beef lunch meat & cheese w/ bacon sprinkles & a dressing packet from McDonalds(you can buy them for a quater). Also, a plastic silverware & a Flavored water & napkins.
For desert some rasins or cherries.

  3. George Casson says:

Turkey & ham sandwich. Pretzels, Apple wedges

  4. Kristi H says:

I love to take lunch meat and sprinkle shredded cheese inside, roll them up and hold them together with seasonal shaped cheese cut outs.

  5. Sarah Lehan says:

I never seem to get tired of a good tuna fish salad sandwitch. I like to add artichoke hearts to the salad. Thanks for the contest.

  6. Jackie says:

While my children like to eat the same cold cuts most of the time (roast beef or turkey), I like to mix it a little by changing the type of bread I make the sandwich on…white, rolls, pitas, wraps, etc. It makes the sandwich a little more interesting.

  7. Helen says:

I add in avocado in sandwiches instead of mustard or mayo. I also like to add sprouts and replace baby spinach for lettuce.

  8. Charlene Kuser says:

I like to put a divided container with veggies on one side, dip on
the other. It helps with them eating their veggies and I also will add food coloring to dip to make it look cool.Sometimes I will put
a note saying thanks for eating your lunch today!

  9. Rachel Newman says:

I love making different themed wraps: I make a bbq wrap with red beans and rice and pork bbq, a thai chicken wrap with peanut sauce, and a tuna fish wrap with cucumbers and shredded lettuce.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  13. katelin says:

i like making different wraps…like a jap one, with rice and terriaki chicken, a thai one with thai noodles peanuts and green curry chicken and a western one with buffalo chicken

  14. JMom says:

I always try to make extra during dinner so we have enough for lunch. A favorite is Sunday’s baked chicken dinner. I usually roast two whole chickens so that we have enough to make sandwiches or wraps with. Stock plenty of salad greens and we’re good to go.

Shredded chicken over salad or pasta and drizzled with Asian sesame dressing and no one will ever know you’re eating leftovers :)
