One-Pot Hamburger and Fries – Kids Love This!

Sometimes I just need a SUPER easy recipe, especially on days that we are low on groceries and this meal is easy!  My kids really like this dish.  It’s not pretty, but it’s good.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 3/4-ounce) can of cheddar soup  **I personally would use more than one can**
  • 1 (20-ounce) package frozen crinkle-cut fries

DIRECTIONS:

Brown meat with onions in large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat; drain, fi necessary.  Stir in soups.  Top with fries ( I actually ended up mixing the fries all in the meat mixture;).  Bake uncovered in 350′ oven for 40 minutes, or till fries are golden brown.

Brown meat and saute onions!

Add soups and put into baking dish:)

Add fries…but remember, I decided to mix them all up inside the meat mixture.  I think it is waaay better like that!

Viola!  Not purty by any means but great for kids and for when you’re low on food.

I’ve done something like this, but used tatertots, and topped with cheddar cheese. Yummo.
