About the book:
Come and get it, y’all! Paula Deen made a name for herself whipping up down-home family recipes. Now, in The Deen Family Cookbook, Paula shares step-by-step instructions so you can fix all her family favorites–and serve ‘em up for your family!
Combining the two things Paula loves most–food and family–this book features a heapin’ helpin’ of more than 140 brand-new recipes from Paula; her sons, Jamie and Bobby; her brother, Uncle Bubba; and the rest of her food-lovin’ clan. From corn-and-crab puffs and chicken and dumplings to red velvet whoopee pies and banana spice cake with peanut butter frosting, this book will have you cooking–and eating–like Paula’s kinfolk in no time at all.
More than just a cookbook, this volume also contains full-color photographs of Paula, her relatives, and the Southern surroundings that inspired her good ol’ fashioned dishes. Of course, you’ll also find colorful shots of Paula’s prepared recipes–enough to make your mouth water!

My husband just loves Paula Dean……that is the only cooking show he watches. Our family is orginally from the south. Her cooking is for sure Authentic Southern Cooking.
She seem legit
I love her personality and all the southern cooking.
I have always liked that Paula has been so open with her story – she lets people know that things are not always rosy in life, but you can work through the tough times … while cooking super yummy food.
Love, love, love Paula — and her “real” personality!
Paula’s not afraid of a little indulgence, that’s for sure. I think her food is best on holidays and desserts.
As Paula would say “They’re yummy”.
I love her exuberant personality.
I love that she is not afraid to use butter!

I love that Paula makes recipes that are easy to create at home.
I think Paula’s recipes are great and my whole family loves it when I make Paula!
I am a butter lover like Paula. I don’t even have margarine in my fridge. She is an awesome cook because she uses the tastiest, most fattening ingredients to make her recipes taste the best! Eating is one of the best pleasures in life, so indulge–exercise afterwards!
I love that Paula Deen cooks real food. I am so sick of the industry pushing us to eat whole-grain, fat-free, low-fat, and so on by changing our foods around. I can’t stand how that food tastes. I would rather eat what I want, and just keep my activity level at the point to keep the weight off. She uses butter which is a big plus in my book! Everything tastes better with butter. I’m just disappointed that her sons are promoting “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter”. Well, I can.
Paula just makes me happy. When I’ve had a tough day, I know Paula will whip something up in her kitchen, with her wit, attitude and butter- and all is right with the world.
I just love her wicked laugh.
i find her perky thanks for the giveaway
Oh MY!!! What’s not to love about Paula…She is so down to earth, funny…a great cook..loving mom and granny…a very talented all around lady. I just love Paula!!!! Have to have a Paula fix daily by watching her cooking shows.
all the fattening, yummy recipes….what’s not to love about that!
I like Paula’s country cooking. Butter rules!
