			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<!-- Start Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><!-- End Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><p>Since <strong>St. Patrick&#8217;s Day</strong> is coming around quickly, we&#8217;ve been making all sorts recipes; everything from <a href="http://mywoodenspoon.com/st-patricks-day-pot-of-gold-for-kids/">pot of gold treats</a> to <a href="http://mywoodenspoon.com/st-patricks-day-shamrock-pie/">shamrock pie</a>.  Since the weather is warming up here in Texas, we wanted to cool things down a bit and decided to make this super easy <strong>Lime Sherbert Cooler</strong>.  It&#8217;s the easiest thing to make and kids love it! Truett helped with the scoops, I poured the drink, and we topped off with Reddi-whip!</p>

<li class="ingredient">Reddi-wip (optional but man it&#8217;s tasty!)</li>

<li>Scoop sherbert into glass, as many as you want.</li>
<li>Pour in ginger ale.</li>
<li>Top with Reddi-wip!</li>

<p>P.S. I was told that I spelled Sherbert wrong, that it should be Sherbet. LOL  Well, I decided to google it and we both are right, although I Sherbet is the most common used.  Oh well&#8230;.</p>

<h2>INGREDIENTS:</h2>
<ul>
<li>2 1/2 cups white sugar</li>
<li>6 cups water</li>
<li>2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry flavored gelatin mix</li>
<li>1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice</li>
<li>2/3 cup lemon juice</li>
<li>1 quart orange juice</li>
<li>2 (2 liter) bottles lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage</li>
</ul>
<h2>DIRECTIONS:</h2>
<p>In a large saucepan, combine sugar, water, and strawberry flavored gelatin. Boil for 3 minutes. Stir in pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice. Divide mixture in half, and freeze in 2 separate containers.<br />
When ready to serve, place the frozen contents of one container in a punch bowl, and stir in 1 bottle of lemon-lime soda until slushy.</p>
