CHICKEN
- Whole: 1-2 days fridge, 12mths freezer
- Parts: 1-2 days fridge, 9mths freezer
- Giblets: 1-2 days fridge, 3-4mths freezer
DAIRY PRODUCTS
- Swiss, brick, procssed cheese: 3-4 weeks in fridge, it can be frozen by it takes away from texture and taste.
- Milk: 5 days in fridge, 1 month in freezer
- Ice cream, ice milk: —-, 2-4mths in freezer
EGGS
- Fresh in shell eggs: 3 weeks in fridge, do not freeze!
- Hard boiled eggs: 1 week in fridge, do not freeze.
Next Tuesday will be a continuation of this except it will be shelf life.

I always thought eggs lasted longer if they were boiled. Good to know I was wrong.

Almost forgot….
I’m assuming the time-frames are for uncooked meat, fish and chicken. How does it change, or does it change at all, once those items have been cooked?

I painted a small photo album for my daughter when she got married. It makes a perfect place to stash recipe cards. I took it to each of her bridal showers and each host had asked all the invited guests to come with two of their favorite recipes to insert into the album. She ended up with a fantastic collection of tried and true recipes.
I’m going to save this list and add it to any recipe album’s I make in the future. I’ll be sure to include your website too.
Thanks, Lori… for sharing this list.
